Technical Information
BaySpair’s Scarless Editing Technology is based on the Two-step HDR method, a genome editing approach designed to maximize homology-directed repair efficiency. The method repeats HDR-based genome editing twice using selection markers, enabling enrichment of correctly edited cells followed by marker removal to obtain the intended edit without additional editing scars.
This approach is especially useful for difficult genome editing cases, such as edits located away from guide RNA targets, single-base substitutions, large-sequence editing of 100 bases or more, and parallel generation of multiple genotypes.
