LazyExtract™ is a rapid and easy-to-use solution for preparing genomic DNA from cultured cells for PCR applications. Requiring only a simple mixing step. LazyExtract™ yields DNA without the use of centrifugation, spin columns, or toxic chemicals. DNA can be used immediately or stored at room temperature for days—making it ideal for high-throughput genotyping, CRISPR screens, and automated workflows. A brief heat step enables extended room temperature storage with minimal DNA degradation. LazyExtract™ ships and stores at room temperature—no dry ice or freezer required—making it a convenient, low-hassle option for any lab.

Technical Information
(1) Ease of use and simple DNA prep protocol
With LazyExtract, robust PCR bands can be obtained from samples stored at room temperature for days — just by mixing, no special treatment or extraction step needed.

- Add 100 µL of LazyExtract™ Solution to 5,000 to 100,000 cells and mix.
- Use the mixture as a PCR template or store it at room temperature.
- Heating process (65˚C 6 min, 98˚C 2 min) increases long-term storage stability, but is not necessary if samples are used within one week.
(2) Stability

A single brief heating step (65˚C 6 min, 98˚C 2 min) enables storage of PCR-ready DNA at room temperature for over a month with virtually no detectable degradation.
